The M2 mixmaking contest is a contest which I am running at the site www.mixmakers.net. It is a contest designed like the nba playoffs in which there are 16 contestants in two differant divisions (8 in each). A panel of judges was selected who had to rank all the teams from 1-16 and then split up into their seedings and divisions. 1st ranked goes to 1st seed division 1, 2nd ranked goes to 1st seed division 2, 3rd rank goes to 2nd seed in divison 1 and so forth. Each mixer must face thier matched up opponent. Each round will consist of a NBA video under 2 minutes. Contestants have 1 week between rounds to make their pieces plus a 3 day judging period. Winners will be announced by judge voting. The winner will move on to face the winner of their aligning bracket.
Some of the work I had to do to organize this was recruit participants as well as judges. I created a youtube channel to put up all the mixes so everyone could go to one place to see them. I also had to make sure everyone met deadlines, got their mixes in and answer any questions they may have. I am also responsible for making the contest run smoothly.
